Paying – the price for sin, Jesus died and rose again
You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly. Romans 5:6
We serve a God who is unchanging all the time…he is the same yesterday, today, and forevermore. Hebrews 13:8
Often times, when we pray for the healing, salvation, and restoration of relationships with loved ones, we get frustrated when it seems like nothing changes. However…God is calling us to be persistent in prayer for both those we love and in our daily walk with Him. At just the right time,
1. God is patient…Jesus wants to be glorified in whatever circumstance that is troubling you. Consider Psalm 31:14-15. As we patiently wait on his timing, the testimony of the Gospel shines brightly. But patience isn’t merely waiting…it’s growing time!
2. God knows us…God longs to have relationship with His creation…each one of us. Knowing Jesus means knowing His ways are higher than our ways. His ways are discovered throughout scripture. We trade in our temporary good works for God’s everyday eternal mission. When you spend time knowing God in prayer, the Holy Spirit instills His vision of kingdom living mission in your heart.
3. God is good…Read Romans 8:28. The Holy Spirit compels you to receive his spirit for whatever life circumstances you face. The presence of the Holy Spirit empowers you to live beyond the grips of sin and bondage.
At just the right time, God died for your sins. At just the right time, God hears your prayers. At just the right time, Christ died for you. Now is the right time to resolve to pray fervently.
