Life in 6 Words: G.O.S.P.E.L.  God. Our. Sins. Paying. Everyone. Life.

Paying – the price for sin, Jesus died and rose again

“Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them.” Matthew 5:17

Jesus is less concerned about how well we follow rules and more concerned with the attitude of our hearts. The religious leaders of His day followed many rules, yet Jesus called for holy living that stemmed from a right attitude of the heart. Fully surrendered prayer yields our heart to the Father.

Surrendered: The Holy Spirit is the spirit of truth…he knows our deepest longings and the sinful attitudes of our hearts. Let God reveal to you what’s in your heart, and confess to Him anything that doesn’t please Him.

Fulfilled:  The Spirit-filled life compels Christians to live a life of love, both for Christ and His people. Jesus calls us to give up our right to find fulfillment for living our own ways so that we would find true fulfillment by living in His Ways. Search the scriptures. Thank God for who He is and the privilege to knowing His Ways.

Empowered: Read Matthew 5-7. His ways of living are higher than our ways, revealing what Holy Spirit empowerment looks like every day. Invite the Holy Spirit to make His kingdom mission the primary mission of your heart.

Christ longs to be the center of what compels you for daily living so that you would be free to live the way God calls you to live. If you’re not living for God, you’re not really living. Let your heart be fully surrendered before the Father, so that you would be fulfilled and empowered for daily living for His kingdom.
