I love how the Wise Men were…wise!
Think about it…
They were waiting for the King.
They were watching for signs of His arrival.
They weren’t content to observe; they set everything aside to see the King.
They followed the star to locate Him.
They exuberantly rejoiced when they found Him!
When they entered His presence, the first thing they did was fall down and worship!
They gave Him gifts befitting a King.
Wise men indeed!
What about us?
Do we have faith that He’s coming back? If so, does it affect our lives? It should change everything!
Are we watching for His presence in our everyday lives?
Are we content to be observant Christians who keep rituals and observances but miss His presence because it’s inconvenient to get where He is?
Do we spend time diligently searching the map (Bible) to learn how to get closer to Him?
Is He the cause of our highest joy?
When we come into His presence is our first response to fall at His feet and worship?
Does our worship cost us something precious?
Father, help us not only learn from the Wise Men, but show us how to imitate their wisdom and draw closer to see and worship You! And then may we present You with the only gifts You long for; our lives and our love! We celebrate You every day King Jesus and we long for Your appearing! May You find us faithful! Amen
