Reach In Faith
As we are in the season of Advent, we have been reminded that no matter what we are going through in life, God is always with us. This promise is illustrated clearly in this story. In today’s passage we read about a woman who had an “issue with blood” and had been in this condition for twelve years. Could you imagine the prayers she prayed to God as the days, weeks, months, and years went by? Then, the day came when she heard that Jesus was traveling through her town. She pushed through the crowd and “reach in faith” to touch Jesus. The Bible says a power came from Jesus to heal this woman, the same power and presence that lives in us “The Holy Spirit”.
One thing we learn from this woman is it is not our job to determine when God will answer our prayers, but it is our job to have consistent faith. There are many areas and situations in our lives that may test our faith in Jesus. He wants you to know you can always trust Him, and he will never let you down. The woman had to take a practical step and “reach out” to Jesus to receive her healing. What practical step do you need to take?
