Light the two candles on your wreath and sing or read together the hymn “Hark the Herald Angels Sing.”

God sent an angel to Mary to share the good news of a new King who would come for all people and rule a never-ending Kingdom. Isaiah prophesied, “For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace” (Isaiah 9:6). What an incredible gift, and how amazing that it was entrusted to Mary. She was not someone who many would see as important or influential in her time. She was just a young girl, but God chose her to carry this message and gift of peace into the world. In the same way, God wants to use you to carry the message of Jesus and His peace into our world.

Discuss together what you can do to live out the PEACE of Jesus to those around you this week.
Commit to that demonstration of peace and finish with a prayer of gratitude, thanking Jesus for the peace He has shown you.
