Light the four candles on your wreath and sing or read together the hymn “It Came Upon a Midnight Clear.”
Read Matthew 1:18-24
Joseph was worried about what people might think about him in regards to Mary’s pregnancy. By obeying God’s Word, he had to actively choose to love and walk with someone others thought was perhaps unlovable. In the same way, Jesus calls us to see the value in those others may see as “unlovable” and choose to actively love them. Christmas is a season for us to remember to obey God and demonstrate His love with those around us.
LIVE IT OUT
Discuss together what you can do to live out the LOVE of Jesus to those around you this week.
Commit to that demonstration of love and finish with a prayer of gratitude, thanking Jesus for the love He has shown you.
