JESUS IS FOR . . . THE WHOLE WORLD

“After they had heard the king, they went on their way, and the star they had seen in the east went ahead of them until it stopped over the place where the child was.  When they saw the star, they were overjoyed.  On coming to the house, they saw the child with his mother Mary, and they bowed down and worshiped him. (Mt 2:9-11)

The star of the Christmas story reminds us that Jesus is for the whole world.  The Father in Heaven chose a star that all the world could see because all the world is who He loves.  People may not believe in Him or may have never heard of Him, but it doesn’t change how much God cares for them.

This Christmas, remember that God wants all the world to know His Son, Jesus.  Jesus said it this way:  “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.  For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.  (Jn 3:16-18)

Advent Prayer & Action _____________________________

Don’t let the busyness and hardness of this world change the truth about His love in your life. Remember His love for you!

Pray for missionaries you know and for people who have never heard the Gospel (like Somali Muslims of Dire Dawa, Ethiopia).

Send a missionary an email or facebook message wishing them a joyful Christmas.  Info can be found at
