“For in the gospel a righteousness from God is revealed, a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written: ‘The righteous will live by faith.’” (Romans 1:17)

It’s never over! To keep Jesus at the center of your life will mean you always live by faith.

I hope this devotional journey has rekindled a “first love” for Jesus and given you a new understanding of how to keep Jesus as first and center of your everyday life.  As you finish this devotional journey and this week on leading wisely, the best last encouragement I can give you is this:

You’ll always need faith.

In America, almost every movie ends with the hero winning the battle and “riding off into the sunset” as he “lives happily ever after.” Because we have frequent exposure to that mentality, we develop a Christianity that says, “If I have enough faith to get through this, then I won’t need faith anymore!” Don’t be fooled! That’s not how real life works. In Romans 1:17, Paul declares that anyone who is in Christ will always need faith.

So, just because you’ve finished this devotional, doesn’t mean you’ve finished needing to be hungry and focused on making Jesus the center of everyday life. It just means you can celebrate a leg of the journey completed. There is another great season of your relationship with Jesus ahead.  Make all of your life about keeping Him at the center!
