Life in 6 words: G.O.S.P.E.L – God. Our. Sins. Paying. Everyone. Life.

Our – sins separate us from God

“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” Romans 3:23

I remember when I was about 8 years old and I had just accepted Jesus in my heart and I was determined to be the perfect Christian. I was going to treat people right, and I was going to tell the truth. I was going to be the next thing close to Jesus. It was day 1 and I was doing great! It wasn’t until I opened the refrigerator and saw my dad’s Pepsi that things took a turn for the worse. I knew my parent’s instructions were to ask before I take anything. Well, I grabbed that Pepsi and cracked it opened without asking. It was the best Pepsi ever, but after it was all gone, I felt so guilty. I thought that I had messed up so bad that God would never forgive me. I just disobeyed my parents!  I went to church and I wouldn’t raise my hands because I thought God hated me. That was so far from the truth, God didn’t hate me.

There is no such thing as being the perfect Christian. Only Jesus himself is perfect and without sin. None of us are past sin. Just as the scripture says, we ALL fall short. It doesn’t matter who you are or what you’ve done, no sin is greater than the other. Don’t allow the enemy to tell you that God hates you. God does not hate us, He just hates the sin. His love for us is unconditional. If this is you today, and you feel as if you’ve escaped grace because you sinned so badly, you are wrong. Jesus loves you and is waiting for you with open arms. Run into His arms and accept His forgiveness.
