Romans 5
“Since we have now been justified by His blood, how much more shall we be saved from God’s wrath through Him! For if, while we were God’s enemies, we were reconciled to Him through the death of His Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through His life! Not only is this so, but we also boast in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation.” Romans 5: 9-11
We are sinners who were separated from God, but saved by grace! The Bible says, we were enemies of God. But, we were reconciled and saved from God’s wrath through Jesus’ death.
To boast means to simply rejoice. We should rejoice because God has declared us to be innocent in His eyes, since we have now been justified by Jesus’ blood. We are no longer enemies but friends of God. Let us rejoice and give praise to God that He didn’t give us what we deserve, but He loved us enough to give His life, so that we can have life eternal.
