Psalm 147:3-6

 ³ He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. ⁴ He determines the number of the stars and calls them each by name. ⁵ Great is our Lord and mighty in power; his understanding has no limit. ⁶ The Lord sustains the humble but casts the wicked to the ground.

Healing for Everyday Life

The Lord does not force His Will on us rather, we come to Him just as we are. Because the Lord calls us to praise Him, we stand confidently that God wants us to know His promise for healing every day.

1.  vs. 3- called to brokenness- someone who is broken recognizes their need to be fixed. Jesus, the great physician, brings mercy to those who are ready to acknowledge their need for healing and grace to those who desire spiritual transformation.

2. vs. 4-5 called to faith- The Lord knows each person by name. Even though He sees billions of people to care for, He knows us infinitely more than we know ourselves. He saves us from the most dire of circumstances and has the ability to heal and transform the hardest of sinners.

3. vs. 6- called to humbleness- the humble are yielded to the Lord through obedience. He lifts up those who continually seek Him.

Have you been fully broken? Are you confident to place your faith in the Lord to uphold you in every circumstance?  Will you yield to the Lord continuously?

Invite the Holy Spirit to fill you by praising the Lord. Submit to the Lord anything in you that needs restoration. He is the God that heals the brokenhearted, redeems the lost, and lifts up the powerless. The promise of eternal life starts with His healing power in your everyday life.
