Life in 6 words: G.O.S.P.E.L – God. Our. Sins. Paying. Everyone. Life.

Our – sins separate us from God

“Once again you will have compassion on us. You will trample our sins under your feet and throw them into the depths of the sea.” Micah 7:19

Forgive but I won’t forget, that’s what we often say when people do things that hurt us or wrong us.  As Christians, we know that we must forgive, but do we forget?  It’s hard sometimes to think of someone doing something to us and being able to completely forget about it.  The scripture clearly states that God does this very thing for us, forgive and forget!   Although we sin many times the scripture quotes, “Once again you have compassion on us.”  He tramples our sins under His feet and throws them into the depths of the sea; He doesn’t remember it anymore, or throws it in our face.  He forgives and forgets the very thing that He hates.

Today, I encourage you to reflect on just how good our God is.  I can’t imagine having someone doing something to me that I hate as much as God hates sin and to just forget about it.  The reason why is because there is no one who measures up to Him.   As you pray today, thank him once again for showing you His compassion.  With all the mistakes we make yet He still forgives, forgets and loves us.
