Anytime Now!

In this passage we read about a man name Simeon who waited in Jerusalem for years for Jesus to come into the world. To Simeon Jesus was more than “God’s Son” coming into the world, however Jesus meant salvation and comfort. Simeon waited all his life for Comfort (Jesus). It is interesting that Simeon remain devout and righteous in the midst of waiting. He is giving us a recipe on “waiting” successfully: 1. Keep being faithful 2. Keep living God’s way.

Recently, my wife and I received the great news from the doctor that we should be expecting our baby girl “anytime now”. Our cloths are pack for the hospital and we are eagerly anticipating the coming of our daughter. However, while we are waiting my wife is continuing to eat healthy, exercise, and take care of our daughter who is already here.  Sometimes people who are “waiting” on God’s comfort and promises tend to be paralyzed by “waiting”. However, while we wait we continue to be like Simeon faithful and devout.
