“But to all who received Him, who believed in His name, He gave them the right to become the children of God.” John 1:12

We have at least three things in common with every Christian at Cornerstone:

ALL have received Christ.
ALL have believed in His name.
ALL have been given the right to become God’s children.

So we are His family – What that means:

Love should define us.

Forgiveness should earmark us.
Grace should showcase His love and forgiveness between us.

What that doesn’t mean:

We all look the same.
We always agree.
We talk the same.
We worship the same.
We act the same.

We are unique, but we need to use that uniqueness to knit us together and not be a source of division. I desperately need what each of you brings and you should need me too. God has graced us to be a family so we could accomplish way more together than separately! Grace means none of us receive what we really deserve from God and as His children, grace should also mean that we treat each other with considerable care, super-sized kindness and unending compassion. Amazingly, God calls us His sons and daughters, that means we’ll spend eternity together and I’m guessing the better we draw together down here, the more blessed Heaven will be up there.

May we imitate our older brother, Jesus so that our lives mirror His in extending grace to one another.
