JESUS IS FOR . . . THE NEXT GENERATION

“God sent the angel Gabriel . . . to a virgin pledged to be married to a man named Joseph . . .  The virgin’s name was Mary.  The angel went to her and said, “Greetings, you who are highly favored . . . You will be with child and give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus.” (Lk 1:26-3)

Mary was somewhere between 14 and 17 when she played the most important human role in history!  She was a teenager and God believed in her!  God believed He could use her to change the world.  God chose someone so young to do something so great because all He is looking for is a completely humble and willing heart.  We often worry about the next generation and all that they have to face.  Let’s not forget how God feels about them. He believes they can do great things, even things that the rest of us consider impossible.  Many years past the first Christmas, Jesus reminded all of us of this very truth Mary lived out when He said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” (Mt 19:26)

May Jesus reveal Himself to the next generation in great ways this Christmas!
