Exodus 32 reveals to us how the Israelites became impatient. Because of their impatience, they began to make an idol out of gold, therefore false worshipping. I imagine that because Moses wasn’t there and God couldn’t actually see them, they figured that they could get away with their sin. This sin made God very upset. He tells Moses to go down because the Israelites have become corrupt and they have bowed down to a calf and have sacrificed to it.

Oftentimes the conclusion is made because no one is physically around, our secret/sin is safe; we think we have somehow escaped and our sin is covered up. God can never be fooled. He knows all and sees all. Whatever we do in the dark does not escape Him and will be revealed in the light. Think about your choices as if God is standing before you. In the times where you may become stuck, allow the Holy Spirit to become your helper.
