Has the Lord ever instructed you do something that requires you to take a huge leap of faith? Yet when you step out, you seem to hit all sorts of road blocks that makes you question if you heard correctly or, makes you question why you even stepped out in the first place? Well, this is what the Israelites were facing. They watched God rescue them from a place of slavery and place them on a road to freedom, but when they saw the Egyptians marching after them, they were terrified and began to think they should have never left! The Bible says that Moses replied, “Fear not, stand firm, and see the salvation of the Lord, which he will work for you today. For the Egyptians whom you see today, you shall never see again. The Lord will fight for you, and you have only to be silent.” The Lord tells Moses to tell the Israelites to move forward.
Just like the Lord spoke to Moses to tell the Israelites to move forward, God is speaking the same to us today. What road blocks are you facing? When God tells us to do something, He doesn’t just change His mind on a whim. Often times His asking does require us to take a leap of faith and for us to trust Him for the rest. If you are faced with a road block, hold on to what He told you and move forward. He honors His word above all. As you move forward, watch Him fight your battles for you. Everything you need, in what He has called you to do, He has or is equipping you to do it. In our weakness His strength is made perfect! We are called, guided, and equipped by a God who is Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end! We see through a glass darkly, but He sees the whole picture. His ways are not like our ways, but you can trust Him to bring us through. (Read Isaiah 55:8-9) Move Forward!
