And let’s be honest, isn’t deep beneath the surface where we need help? But instead, sometimes we simply remove the offending situation without dealing with what is actually underneath. Think of it this way; do you want to use a hoe or a shovel in dealing with problem areas? A hoe takes away most of the “weed”…for now, but a shovel gets the root! Separate they are the hoe, but when combined they become the shovel that Jesus can use to remove the weed and the root!
Where do you need to yield to the work of the shovel today? Ask Jesus. Give Him permission to every facet of your life and watch as everything changes!
