“You know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything” (James 1:3-4).
Leadership is about character and character is about the decisions we make in the storms of life. If you can choose to follow Jesus in the midst of your own storms of life, you’ll lead many people to Him.
James 1:2-4 says that the storms of life are actually a doorway to God’s greatest blessings in your life. They are God’s difference maker—between having a little of God and “lacking nothing.”
How ironic that the threat of losing everything in a storm can be the very way God gives me everything! Contrary to the world’s way of thinking, the difference between true success and failure in life isn’t talent on a stage, but good decisions in the storm. These are the most important decisions we make and play a big part in leading others to Jesus.
So today, don’t let storms become the center of your decisions. Keep Jesus as the center of your focus and your decisions. In so doing, you will discover peace in your own life and power to share Jesus with the people around you who need Him as their Lord and Savior.
