“What is love? It is not that we loved God. It is that he loved us
and sent his Son to give his life to pay for our sins.”
(1 John 4:10)
If you slow down enough this morning to let the Holy Spirit awaken the gospel in you, nothing about today will be the same. The story of the Father’s love and the Son’s sacrifice changes everything you need for peace and joy today.
When Jesus died for us, Satan (called “the accuser” in Revelation 12:10) lost the one thing he could always present before God—your sin. Through His death on the cross, Jesus gave His life for us; He took the punishment for our sin and paid its debt. Satan no longer has legitimate grounds to accuse you before God. In Jesus, you are forgiven and will continue to be forgiven as you remain in Him.
God no longer requires that you return to Him a perfect life! Jesus did that for you!
