“Love the Lord your God with all your heart and
with all your soul and with all your mind
and with all your strength.” (Mark 12:30)
Ever try to make your favorite cake, but not have all the ingredients?
Better yet, ever put together a child’s toy and end up with “extra” parts? (I confess that’s me).
The simple truth is that if you want the right results, you must use all of the ingredients or parts according to the instructions. If we don’t, we may end up with something that looks like the final product, but time will only prove that it is missing key ingredients.
Somehow, most Christians don’t think they need to give God all the ingredients He has asked for, but still expect the final products of His blessings, peace, health, and prosperity.
In Mark 12:28-30, Jesus says this is what I need to give Him every day. There is nothing greater to do with a day than these four things! A life that has hope and healing begins today by giving God all these ingredients to a Jesus in how you live.
