Romans 13: 8-14
“The commandments, “You shall not commit adultery,” “You shall not murder,” “You shall not steal,” “You shall not covet,” and whatever other command there may be, are summed up in this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.” Love does no harm to a neighbor. Therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.” Romans 13:9-10
To love one another is the ultimate command! The Bible instructs us, above all else, to love one another, loving your neighbor as yourself. (Galatians 5:13-14) The Lord’s return is drawing near and we must be determined to live our lives for God and not to give into hatred, revenge, or jealousy. We must rise above our fleshly desires. We are not required to just love those who live close to us, our neighbors, but those that we work with, the ones that we go to school with, and even the ones that seem unfriendly and unlovable. Our love should not be just out of mere obligation, but we should love with a heart of compassion and unconditionally. Christ loved us in spite of ourselves. May our lifestyles be a light that shines until the day He returns.
