Jeremiah 29:11-13 ESV
For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. 12 Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will hear you. 13 You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart.
How can we know God unless we spend time communicating with Him? When we pray, we can share what is on our heart and also discover what is on His heart for us. Isaiah 64:4 says that no one can know God’s ways in their own wisdom or efforts. That’s why we pray: to slow down and know His good plans for us. If we will take the time to seek Him, He promises we find Him and come to know Him.
