Luke 10:2 NLT
These were his instructions to them: “The harvest is great, but the workers are few. So pray to the Lord who is in charge of the harvest; ask him to send more workers into his fields.”
As Jesus sent out his disciples “in every town place He was about to go” he called them to pray (Luke 10:1). Faced with the immense task, like farmers facing an urgent window in which to bring the whole harvest, Jesus teaches us to pray God would send more workers, more men and women to participate in the work of evangelism. Today, you could be the answer to someone’s prayer for a loved one far from God. And, as you look at the lostness of those around you be encouraged, pray that God would inspire more Christians to share Jesus’ love.
