I resolve to serve joyfully
“You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh; rather, serve one another humbly in love.” Galatians 5:13
How will you use your freedom? How will you live your life? In this passage, He tells us what to do with our lives, serve. Mark 10:45 says, “For even the Son of man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many”. In reading God’s Word, we know that it is clear that serving God ultimately translates to serving others. When we are asked to serve in different areas of ministry, we are not doing this for people. We are doing it unto God. If He could give His life for us, it should be a joy to serve others. We should serve each other humbly and in love. For some of us, we love to have people serve us. It feels great to be the recipient but, it feels even greater to serve someone and know that you are making a difference in their lives. You are showing them the love of Jesus Christ. All of us are called to serve. As much as we all love to receive, we don’t receive to hold it to ourselves, but to give it away. Pray and ask God to show you ways that you can serve your brother and sister in love. Will you use your life to serve with joy?
