Luke 10:38-42
Martha was NOT Jesus centered. Two statements reveal wrong beliefs in her heart- ‘Lord, don’t You care?’- judging His motives, and character. Then she says, ‘Tell her to help me!’- thinking she can tell God (Jesus) what to do!
Mary was listening to Jesus, focusing on Him. She chose the better option of sitting at His feet, listening with her heart and learning to be Jesus centered. Our goal is to become consistently conscious of His life and love for us.
