JESUS IS FOR . . . ALL PEOPLE
“But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is Christ the Lord.” (Lk 2:10-11)
The Christmas story literally shouts, “There is good news for every type of person in Jesus!” The angel declares that Jesus, the Savior, is good news for all people. You and I don’t think like that. We are tempted to think that certain sinners and groups of people can’t know the good news of Jesus. Yet, Christmas is God’s call to all people about the good news of forgiveness and new beginnings for every type of person.
Many years later Jesus taught this very truth when He said “It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. But go and learn what this means: ‘I desire mercy, not sacrifice.’ For I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.” (Mt 9:12-13)

Thank God for His love and forgiveness in your own life through the sending His Son to this earth for you.
Thank God for those who helped you or your family members come to Christ in the past.
Take a moment during your Christmas celebration to ask God to use you and your family to lead new people to Jesus who have never believed in Jesus, “Christ the Lord.”
