Do you think today’s world or culture sees and understands beauty the way it was originally designed? Do you think today’s world would look at you and see a different kind of beauty in your attitude, your actions or your words?
What is beauty? Beauty is what reflects God. Beauty has to do with God and His holiness. Where do we see beauty? We can see God’s beauty in the rising and setting of the sun. We can see beauty in our loving family, friendships and relationships. But is it possible to see beauty in something as feared as death?
As a Church this past week, we experienced the death of a good friend and faithful servant Terry Martin. In his passing, it is hard to think of a thing like beauty, but God has His own ways of showing us His beauty. Through his death, we got to see the amazing and beautiful support of his friends and family. We were able to recall the wonderful and beautiful moments that everyone experienced with Terry. His life was a life of serving Christ as much as possible, and it was beautiful.
“The goal of life is not about how many years you can live; it’s about reflecting the beauty of God all the days of your life.”
Here are 3 ways we can reflect God’s Beauty:
1) God’s faithfulness to serve: “If we want our life to be beautiful, we have to reflect the attitude of God.” 2) God’s faithfulness to love: “When you reflect God, people don’t just come to like you, they come to love you.” 3) God’s faithfulness to save: “We come to reflect God’s beauty when we build real relationships with others, not just a weekly or Church relationship.”
How beautiful is your life?
How will you reflect the beauty of God in your life EVERYDAY?
Only Christ can give you a beautiful life. SO FOLLOW HIM!
