Acts 10:1-48
The tenth chapter of Acts starts with a story that is one of the great turning points in the history of the church. For the first time, a Gentile is to be admitted into its fellowship, and God has made all “unclean” food clean. According to Jewish custom Gentiles were look down upon and considered to be unclean, also certain foods were considered unclean as well. However, God is addressing a much deeper issue. God is teaching the early church that he can make all things clean and there is nothing off limits from the transformation power of Jesus.
We all have areas, things, and people in our lives that God’s want to make clean. There may be people you know that appears to be so far from God that it seems that they are not worth the effort to reach out to. However, this passage of scripture teaches us to look at life through the lens of Jesus redemptive power. He can redeem any person, marriage, food, and situation. What or who needs to be redeemed in your life today.
