After the uproar ceased, Paul sent for the disciples and, after encouraging them, said good-by and set out for Macedonia.  (Acts 20:1)

God, the Holy Spirit, speaks every day to those who are hungry to listen.

The God who has great plans for you, knows what each day and season of your life should look like. In Acts 19:21 we are told that “Paul resolved in the Spirit to pass through Macedonia.”  That’s right, in one period of Paul’s life and ministry the Holy Spirit tells Paul not to focus on Macedonia.  Yet, in a new season of Paul’s life, the Holy Spirit tells Paul something new, “Now, go focus on Macedonia.”

When is the last time you stopped and asked the Holy Spirit if there was anything new He wanted to speak to you?

When is the last time you felt the Holy Spirit renew your call to what you’ve always been doing (as a spouse, parent, friend, or in the church)?

God, the Holy Spirit, has something new to tell you today.  He may show it to you through your prayers, your circumstances or your relationships.  Are you willing to truly listen?
