“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you: and you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the remotest part of the earth.” (Acts 1:8)
I wish I knew her name… I don’t. I follow her blog because she’s living out an authentic life for God, the desire of my heart. So of all the thousands of blogs out there, what captured my attention? “I want to change the world…and I’m stupid enough to believe that I can. I want to love like Jesus. The Lord found me in my junk and still loves me more than I can fathom.” Those are words of a heart crying out to be used by God. She shares freely of her struggles with depression, addictions, and lack of time spent with God and in His Word. And when you realize her story has somehow woven together with yours – she encourages. Be more open…with yourself, with people, with God. Speak of the marvelous things God has done in your life and love in such a way that it demonstrates God to those around you – don’t let silence win. Pray more yes, even when you don’t want to and it’s hard because life is miserable without Him. What makes her a missionary? She’s following God and sharing Him with others. Will you do that today?
