Project HOPE: Gendetesfa, Ethiopia

Eradicating leprosy, one family at a time.

Gendetesfa, right outside of Dire Dawa, is a village on the border of the Ethiopian desert imprisoned by poverty and plagued by leprosy. Cornerstone started a medical clinic in the village in 2013. Since then, the Project HOPE Clinic has hosted over 11,000 patient visits and improved the quality of life in Gendetesfa.

Cornerstone Revitalization Center

Helping individuals achieve livable communities and sustainable lives

Chesterfield’s northern Route 1 corridor has one of the highest concentrations of poverty in greater Richmond. Over a decade ago, Cornerstone members began ministry there, bringing the hope of Jesus and caring for the residents of this community. Along the way, crime went down, needs were met, and real change began to happen. Soon, church members formed Cornerstone Revitalization Center, a non-profit organization, to focus on this ministry.
