Itinerary

Day 1 and 2:
Board your transatlantic aircraft for your overnight flight to Tel Aviv. Upon arrival continue to Tiberias for dinner. The evening is free for rest.

Day 3: SEA OF GALILEE
Awaken to the beautiful sunrise on the Sea of Galilee. Visit Tabgha, the site of the famous miracle and the Church of the Loaves and Fishes. At the Mt. of Beatitude listen again to The Sermon on the Mount. Hear the words of Jesus to Peter, “feed My sheep,” as you visit the Primacy of Peter Church. Enjoy the serenity of this peaceful place which our Lord loved. In the afternoon visit the Biblical city of Capernaum and see the old synagogue and the house of Peter’s mother-in-law. Visit Nof Ginnosar and see the ancient boat from the 1st century before taking a boat ride on the Sea of Galilee. Take time to renew your baptismal vows in the Jordan.

Day 4: KORAZIM/CAESAREA PHILIPPI/DAN/KURSI
Visit Korazim, the city of basalt stone where Jesus taught. Travel north to Mt. Hermon and visit Caesarea Philippi. Walk through the nature reserve at Tel Dan. Visit Kursi and hear the story of the Gerasenes.

Day 5: NAZARETH/MT CARMEL/ MEGIDDO/CAESAREA
Travel to Nazareth, the hometown of Jesus and visit the grotto of St. Joseph. Visit Mt. Carmel and hear afresh the story of the prophet Elijah. See the life size statue of Elijah at Muhraka. Walk the water tunnel at ancient Megiddo. Visit Caesarea by the Sea and see the ancient Roman aqueduct. Travel to Jericho.

Day 6: MASADA/QUMRAN/DEAD SEA/JERICHO
Begin the day by climbing the ancient Tel of Jericho. Travel by cable car to Masada, a well preserved palace of King Herod. Visit Ein Gedi and Qumran, the home of the Dead Sea Scrolls. End the day with time for floating and relaxation at the Dead Sea.

Day 7: JERICHO/BETHLEHEM
Visit the newly restored Hisham Palace, one of the desert castles of the Umayyad dynasty and home to the “tree of life” mosaic. In the afternoon, travel to Bethlehem to worship at the Church of the Nativity. Kneel and sing at the star which marks the birth of the Savior.

Day 8: OLD CITY
Reflect at the Rabbi Teaching Steps and walk the Via Dolorosa. Visit the Pool of Bethseda and St. Anne’s Church. Proceed to the Antonio Fortress where the crown of thorns was placed on Jesus’ head and take time to pray at the Stations of the Cross, ending at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre.

Day 9: MT ZION/ELAH VALLEY/EMMAUS
Visit Mt. Zion, seeing the Upper Room, King David’s Tomb, the House of the High Priest, Caiaphas. Travel to the Valley of Elah were David and Goliath fought. Visit Emmaus, where Christ made himself known in the days after His resurrection.

Day 10: MT OLIVES/NABLUS
Stand on the Mt. of Olives and overlook the Kidron Valley. Walk the Palm Sunday path to the Garden of Gethsemane and visit the Church of All Nations Travel through Samaria and visit Jacob’s well in Nablus.

Day 11: BETHANY/GARDEN TOMB
Visit Bethany and climb into the tomb of Lazarus. This afternoon worship at the Garden Tomb. After a Farewell Dinner travel to the airport for an overnight flight.

Day 12:
Return home with a treasury of memories.

You will see all of the above sites during your Pilgrimage. Flexibility in the itinerary may be necessary due to unforeseen circumstances such as airline, hotel schedules, and local conditions.
