Everyone – who trust in Him alone has eternal life
If I asked you, on a scale of 1 to 10, how sure you are of your salvation, would you be a 10? In today’s reading, Jesus says, “Very truly I tell you, whoever hears my word and believes Him who sent Me has eternal life and will not be judged but has crossed over from death to life.” Jesus makes it clear that if you hear His word and believe He was sent by God to die for your sins, you have eternal life. There is no other way to heaven than through believing in Him. Also, Jesus doesn’t say we will have eternal life or that we will cross over from death to life. When we put our trust and faith in Him, we receive eternal life and cross over from death to life in that moment. Salvation doesn’t have to measure on a scale of 1 to 10. It’s a yes or no question. We are either spiritually dead or we are alive. We have either professed Jesus as our Lord and Savior or we haven’t. What is your answer — yes or no? Thank you Lord for salvation available to everyone.
