Psalms 2:8 “Ask Me, and I will make the nations your inheritance, the ends of the earth your possession.”

Ask Me. With these two simple words we invite God to take control. The scripture above encourages us to ask for the nations. So, my question to you today is: What are you asking God for? We ask God for all sorts of things: a raise, a healthy baby, perhaps a healing touch for a loved one. But do you ever find yourself asking God for something trivial; like green lights all the way to work so you make it on time when you’re running late?

I hear God saying, “How can I move if they don’t ask Me?” Perhaps because we are blessed to have been born in a country where we can worship freely that we don’t realize the importance of praying for our nation. We can make a difference by praying and asking God for His leadership to reign in our nation. To give wisdom to those in places of power and surround them with godly counsel so that we can become a beacon of hope that leads other nations to the True Salvation, Jesus Christ.

Today as we seek God’s direction, pray that He will raise up men and women who will be committed to seeking His purpose for our nation. “Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, the people He chose for His inheritance.” Ps. 33:12
