Pastor Shawn asked at the very beginning of the sermon for you to list everyday things God has done for you that you don’t deserve. What did you write down?

In brief, I am thankful for my beautiful wife, my healthy and growing son, a steady job, a safe house and a great Church body that surrounds my family. I don’t deserve any of these wonderful things. Take some time this week to pray about your list and be thankful for the things in your life you don’t deserve, but God continues to bless you with.

So is the Holy Spirit really involved in your everyday life?

The answer is yes and here are four ways the Holy Spirit is present in your life everyday.

The Holy Spirit is all around us (YOUR WORLD)

Isn’t comforting to know that you are never truly alone? The Holy Spirit is always trying to help you see things clearer and assist you in trying to understand everything going on around you. The main role of the Holy Spirit is to keep you honest. If you are honest with God, He will be honest with you.

The Holy Spirit is with you (YOUR CIRCUMSTANCES)

When I personally started being more honest in my walk with God, I could start to see pieces and parts come together. I would read a devotional on Sunday morning and the Pastor would share the same verse. The Holy Spirit will take your heart and prepare the way for you. Commit yourself everyday, and the Holy Spirit will put things in place for you.

The Holy Spirit is in you (YOUR THOUGHTS & HEAD)

Have you ever experienced a moment during prayer or sharing your testimony with someone and the words just seem to pour out of your mouth with amazing ease? This is the work of the Holy Spirit working in you and through you. He gives you authority, a sense of awareness, the grace you desperately need and the words to say.

The Holy Spirit fulfills you (YOUR ATTITUDE)

This may be the section where I need the Holy Spirit the most. There will be moments when you want to give in and apply the insult. Can you recall the last time you wanted to send that angry email? The Holy Spirit will give you humility in your attitude when you need it most. He will give you the words to say or hint when maybe there are no words to say.

Are you allowing God to prepare you, change you and fill you everyday?

Be honest…
