Jesus the Center

“Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone” – Ephesians 2:20
The Bible calls Jesus the chief cornerstone because He is what brings and fits everything in this life together.
Discipleship is how we do our part in making Jesus the center of everyday life through four simple daily priorities.

“Love the Lord your God with all your heart!”
Mark 12:28

Worship is a daily choice to make Jesus the center. To worship is to seek, know, and reflect God’s ultimate greatness and love in every part of Your life. There are many people who say they “believe” in God, but true disciples worship Him daily!

“My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you.”
John 15:12-14

Jesus did not just say “love people,”: but to love people as He loved people! Disciples base every relationship on God’s word. There is a huge difference between loving people according to the Bible and “loving” people according to our feelings and the world’s standards.

“You are the light of the world”
Matthew 5:13-16

We are called to partner with God to create and care for life in this world and in the people around us. Jesus calls us to be His light in dark places by using the time, talents, and treasures He has given us for His glory and not our own.

“Therefore go and make disciples”
Matthew 28:19

Jesus calls every disciple to disciple someone else. This means every Christian is a leader. Whether in your marriage, family, workplace, or community, Jesus as the center of your life should lead others deeper into Christ’s salvation and character.
